The List, version 1.0

Here it is at last, the long awaited list! This is a joint effort by Steve Pinkley and myself, and untold others working behind the scenes to bring you a list of churches that we recommend for you to visit in your travels. I have wrote often about how hard it is to walk into a strange church (see my posting titled "What a Blessing" of December 2006), and not know what you will find there.

The first part is the result of Steve’s work.. The second part, titled "Glenn's List" is a list of churches that I have personally visited, and therefore can recommend to you.

I intend to update this list as necessary: first, to add new churches as we learn about them; second, to republish this list periodically, so that it will always be available in the index column on the left side of the page, and will never go into the archive where you can’t find it easily.

Also, please remember that if you are in a "snowbird" area, there may be a park Church available that is affiliated with Christian Resort Ministries International (Jack and Karen Gregory’s affiliate organization). For more information, see their website; http://www.crmintl.org/. They may also be able to help you start a park service or a small group in your park.

Part 1, Steve’s list

Steve writes: "I have attached a list of some churches in the South . . . . I try to call each one to talk to them personally. This gives me a chance to find out what they believe, and if they are a growing church. I have left messages with many churches but haven’t heard back from them. To this I can only add, thank you and God bless you, Steve. I am humbled that you would put so much effort into looking after our spiritual welfare as you do. We all appreciate you very much! You are a true servant of God.
