Books for sale in Rio Grande Valley

Hi readers! Sorry I haven’t posted for a while. I am intending for that situation to change soon, as I am working on a series of articles for the blog that I feel the Lord is leading me to write about. So stay tuned to this station.

By way of apology, it has been a tough winter thus far. See’s was particularly tough without Sandi beside me, and with the whole cancer thing hanging over our heads, it’s just been hard to think about blogging. One bright spot in the last few months has been the opportunity to work with my “favorite” (read “only”) granddaughter, Kayla. A freshman in college this year, Kayla worked at the candy kiosk several days each week, often with me at the closing shift. It has been a joy to see her blossom into a competent young woman (although I think there is a part of me that still sees her as a little girl).

Another real joy this past few weeks has been that God has decided that the Rio Grande Valley is finally ready to have Bobby Johnson, Jack Gregory, and myself down here at the same time! We have been having some great times of fellowship. Bobby is now the new chaplain for Children’s Haven International in Pharr. Jack, of course, is still the chaplain at Alamo Rose RV Park. Jack has two sessions of The Truth Project going, of which I am attending one.

As I observed last year, we are seeing a real hunger for God’s word that I have never seen before down here (see “winds of change” posted in early 2009) and we are excited about what we will see our Lord do this winter.

If anyone is reading this, and is in the Rio Grande Valley, here is a list of where I will be selling the book this winter.

Casa Del Valle Craft Sale, 1048 N. Alamo Rd. January 25, 8AM-12; February 22, 8AM-12

San Juan Gardens Craft Sale, 900 E. Business 83, February 5, 8AM-12

Texas Trails Craft Show, 501 W. Owassa Rd. February 6, 8AM-12

As before, it is also available through Workamper News, www.glennrivers.com; www.xlibris.com; or most major online booksellers.

Please pray with us that God will cause this book to find it's way to all of those to whom He wishes to speak through it.

Pray for me also, as I try to establish the regular habits of blogging and writing again. I believe that God wants to teach me how to be a disciplined writer, and that is a big step for me when it comes to employing the “d” word!

Thanks for sharing this moment with me today.
